Parawise was the very first exhibition of the Metaphone exploring various ways of interacting with an environment and audience.
You are most welcome to join the METAPHONE project and exhibition PARAWISE with your own artistic contributions. Exhibition will take place in Mellanrummet at KKH week 10, from 5 to 11 of March, 2012. Finissage with music and DJs. Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, Sweden (Kungl. Konsthögskolan, Flaggmansvägen 1, 103 26 Stockholm).
PARAWISE project is an open experimental platform for sound, music, performance, and other collaborations concerning interaction with Metaphone apparatus.
Metaphone - the art project is consisting of interactive apparatus, painting technique and sonic art. In first phase pictorial artworks are produced from sound: audio frequency is colour, volume is radius; second part of the project is to listen sound back from the picture - this sonic part is the main subject for PARAWISE exhibition. Also combination of both of them (both are turned on, feedbacking, etc.) and other additional stuff. Additionally we will work with video and photography, with live performances and for exhibition format.
Schedule: day 1 - drone noisescape prints, day 2 - electromagnetic sonics and designs, day 3 - EEG part: drawing and listening brain vibes, day 4 - environmental paintings outside, day 5 - political paintings with drinks and food, oil and blood. as well as paintings of popular songs.
